A Blessed Passiontide in Tampa
This past week we were honored to host His Excellency, Archbishop Cordileone along with Priests from the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest and Fr. Richard Cipolla by way of the Diocese of Bridgeport and the Constantinian Order of St George. This was the third Pontifical High Mass since 2022 at Epiphany of Our Lord in Tampa. We were visited by Cardinal Raymond Burke in September of 2022, Bishop Athanasius Schneider in May of 2023, and now Archbishop Cordileone of the Archdiocese of San Francisco.
Our week began last Saturday evening with Compline followed by a talk by His Excellency on The Benedict XVI Institute. Archbishop Cordileone also blessed an image of Madonna Del Lume that will be used in our upcoming Marian procession. The evening concluded with His Excellency blessing Sacramentals, taking photos, and conversing with the parishioners of Epiphany of Our Lord late into the evening.
Then on Passion Sunday, His Excellency celebrated a Pontifical High Mass at Epiphany of our Lord followed by a receiving line where he blessed Sacramentals and met more of the parishioners of Epiphany of Our Lord. The Mass was assisted by Canon Talarico and Canon Matheus of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest.
Then on the Feast of St Joseph, Tuesday, March 19th a Missa Cantata was celebrated by Fr Cipolla followed by a Consecration to St Joseph, and then festive celebration of a Lenten St. Joseph’s Day dinner accompanied by a traditional St. Joseph’s Table. This was the first celebration of its kind at Epiphany of Our Lord and we hope the first of many more to come honoring the Patron Saint of the Universal Church.
Thank you to all who came to Epiphany of Our Lord this past week and to all who made all of the events possible!
May you have a Blessed Holy Week.
