On Monday, May 1st nearly 200 fathers, sons, grandfathers, brothers, uncles, priests, and friends gathered inside the Parish hall of Epiphany of Our Lord Church in Tampa to honor and give thanks to Our Lord Jesus Christ, His Father in Heaven, the one true Holy Catholic Church, and our greatest male intercessor, St Joseph.
The night began as it always does with Adoration and Confession thanks to four priests from the Diocese of St Petersburg and a military chaplain from nearby MacDill Air Force Base. After Holy Hour concluded all gathered processed into the Parish Hall to enjoy food from La Segunda Central Bakery and beverages from Top Shelf History.
We were then enriched by a captivating talk from Dr. Taylor Marshall on the history and meaning of the feast day of St Joseph the Worker, Protector of the Universal Church.
We concluded the night as in past events with a bonfire rosary led by our presenting speaker whereby hundreds of men and boys gathered together praying the Joyful Mysteries late into the evening.
Finally, the men took ample time for fellowship through conversation, pictures with Dr. Marshall, cigars, drinks, and dessert.
Our events would not be possible without our sponsors and vendors so we encourage you to check out Luis Roman’s Podcast, Omega Field Enterprises, Glory Bee Designs, House of Bread Contemporary Kitchen Collective, and our photographer Jonathan Fanning.
We also invite you to consider making a monthly or annual tax-deductible gift in support of our efforts. The Fraternal Society of St John the Apostle is a 501c3 organization. You may make a tax deductible gift using the link below:

The FSSJA mission of retraining men in the art of virtuous leisure took another step forward and will resume in earnest on Tuesday, September 19th when we celebrate the Feast of San Gennaro!
We hope to you see you all there. Please keep the Fraternal Society of St John the Apostle, Epiphany of Our Lord Parish, and all those in attendance in your prayers for the wisdom and strength to live as St Joseph lived and one day lay down our head for the last time in silence and peace.
