Viva San Rocco in Wilmington, DE!
The 95th Annual Saint Peter’s Fiesta in Gloucester, MA!
The band performs #WhenTheSaintsGoMarchingIn as the men carry San Pietro back to the altar on the #GloucesterMA waterfront.
“Ma Chi Siemu Tutti Muti? VIVA SAN PIETRO!!” The chant you hear throughout the day during the procession & feast in honor of San Pietro in #GloucesterMA. The translation is roughly, “Are we all mute? Long live Saint Peter!!” It’s a beautiful chant that harkens back to Terrasini (Palermo). Sicilian immigrants from that seaside town brought their devotion to San Pietro with them to their new home in New England.
Feast in the Bridgeport area of Chicago, "St. Angelo Muxaro.” The S. Angelo Society was started in 1934 by immigrants from the Sant' Angelo Muxaro in the province of Agrigento, Sicily.
